Langkawi Cooking School

Visiting Langkawi Cooking School is an enjoyable experience for everyone. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us or find answers in the FAQ below.

The school is in Kampong Sungai Itau, Ayer Hangat

We are different in that we stand alone without affiliation to a hotel or other organizations. Our location in an organic farm enabling guests to harvest their own herbs and vegetables makes us unique.

We provide free transfers from most places. If using your own transport go to IKA in Ayer Hangat and call us from there. Someone will come to guide you. Please do not attempt to find us yourself, even with Google or Waze.

The best way is by direct bank transfer or a credit card. We will send you the payment link.

A couple of days is sufficient for us to buy the ingredients and make other arrangements.

We do not provide a refund.

Yes, certainly. The charge is RM 150 which includes transfers, tour of the farm and a meal.

Children over 12 can join the adult class. If below 12, we need to make special arrangements.

The total time from pick-up to drop off is about 5 hours.

Most of the dishes are Malaysian favourites.

Yes, definitely.

The minimum number is two. A solo traveler can join a class if there are other participants.

If the rain is very heavy, we abort the farm tour but the cooking class goes on.

Yes, but you’ll have to have a prior discussion with the Chef.

Yes, we do but please alert us well before the class. Most dishes have a vegan/vegetarian version.

Just wear whatever is comfortable. Good walking shoes are recommended for the farm tour, in case the ground is wet.

No. Everything required is provided.

You may have mosquitoes occasionally. We provide insect repellent.

We can conduct special classes but please give us plenty of notice.
