Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting six wonderful guests from top resorts in Langkawi, including Ambong Pool Villas and Rainforest Retreat.
Karim and his lovely wife Omar Harris, visiting from Belgium, brought along their two delightful children, Benjamin and Alicia. In a heartwarming twist, Alicia chose to celebrate her birthday with us — what a unique and meaningful way to mark the day!
One of the highlights was watching Alicia try her hand at tapping a rubber tree — a skill still practiced by many in the rural parts of Langkawi. It gave everyone a glimpse into the heritage and livelihoods of local communities.
The group also enjoyed a guided tour of our organic farm, discovering the local vegetables, herbs, and fruit trees that make our dishes come alive with fresh flavors.
We were also joined by Laetitia and Jennifer, two vibrant guests from Switzerland staying at the Rainforest Retreat. Together, the group rolled up their sleeves for some hands-on cooking, while others chose to observe, taste, and cheer everyone on.
The day ended with smiles all around as each guest proudly plated their culinary creations — a celebration of good food, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences.
